The Captain

To captain the AFARL Masters side is a great honour and is given to a player both committed on and off the field. They are an affiliate member of the AFRL and are selected by the AFRL committee.

 

The tennant

Mark Jones, affectionally known as MAJ has been selected as captain for the up coming games on the 25th of May 2024 at the Cardiff Arms Park. He is the first captain of the AFARL.


MAJ is a former Fire and Rescue officer and currently plays for the Chester Gladiator RL. MAJ has also represented Wales and NW Origin.
 
 

Captains responsiblities 

Aside from playing and leadership responsibilities the captains job is to choose players of the match as well as present fines for consideration at after events. The will often liaise with the AFRL captain as well as opposition team captains.
